As Chair, I am very much looking forward to working with the CAPS-I Board and Executive. We will continue to lead CAPS-I members in this evolving and changing era of international education. We will continue to work towards maintaining a strong presence and relationships in current markets, as well as assist members to explore emerging markets, which will further diversify their international student enrolment.   We will strive to provide agents and prospective students with sound guidance towards educational opportunities within our members' programs.

International students continue to make significant contributions to their communities and schools across Canada. These students also have a beneficial impact on the culture of learning in their schools and create positive and meaningful relationships with local students, school staff, and the community. We recognize that International students gain immeasurable enrichment from their experiences, gaining an appreciation for and learning from the Canadian perspective and way of life. Overall, these experiences are breaking down cultural barriers and creating more global citizens.

CAPS-I and its member districts strive to foster welcoming and inclusive environments for International students from differentiated source markets. To this end, CAPS-I offers;

  • An interactive, effective and efficient website which provides detailed information to the agent/parent/student searching for opportunities to study in Canada.
  • A best practice resource to support gender inclusivity in homestays
  • Planning and execution of trade missions, both virtual and in person, to both existing and new emerging markets
