As the Chair of the CAPS-I Board, I work with 8 additional Directors who represent the diverse regions of our country. Alongside the Executive Director and Marketing & Communications Manager, we continue to advocate for and represent international education at the K to 12 public school level in Canada. These past two years have been the most challenging our sector has ever experienced. We have worked closely with key stakeholders at provincial and national levels to safeguard our existing students and to also ensure we were ready to welcome the world back to Canada.
Over the last fifteen years, CAPS-I members have increased substantially and have seen many collective achievements. These include:
CAPS-I’s 130 member school districts and boards are committed to offering welcoming, inclusive and responsive learning environments for all students. Their high quality educational programs attract over 45,000 international students each year from across the globe. International students continue to make significant contributions to their communities and schools across Canada.
