Over the past ten years, CAPS-I has become the leading voice supporting the growth of the international education at the K to 12 public school level in Canada.
As the President of CAPS-I, I work with our Executive Committee, Executive Director, and staff to continue developing and refining the vision for international education at the K to 12 public school level in Canada.
On the occasion of our 10th anniversary, CAPS-I members have the opportunity to reflect on our collective achievements. These include:
- significant growth in the number of school districts and boards offering international education programs.
- significant growth in the number of international students studying in Canada at the K to 12 level.
- a focus on internationalization efforts and outbound student mobility.
- a strong voice with our partner organizations in Canada and around the world.
CAPS-I’s 127 member school districts and boards are committed to offering welcoming, inclusive and responsive learning environments for all students. Their high quality educational programs attract over 40,000 international students each year from all corners of the globe. International students continue to make significant contributions to their communities and schools across Canada.
