Les écoles publiques primées et les enseignants d'Abbotsford accueillent des étudiants étrangers depuis de nombreuses années. Les étudiants peuvent choisir des programmes d'un semestre, d'une année universitaire ou de plusieurs années menant à l'obtention d'un diplôme. Nombre de nos étudiants étrangers poursuivent leurs études dans de bonnes universités au Canada, aux États-Unis et dans le monde entier. Toutes les écoles dispensent un enseignement spécialisé de l'anglais langue seconde (ESL). Nous dispensons des cours de haut niveau dans les domaines de l'éducation, de la technologie, des arts et de l'anglais langue seconde dans des installations modernes utilisant les équipements et les méthodes les plus récents. Nous proposons le baccalauréat international (IB), l'Advanced Placement (AP) et un large éventail de cours facultatifs, notamment l'architecture et l'ingénierie 3D, l'aviation, le cinéma (meilleur programme au Canada en 2017 et 2019), l'animation, les affaires, les beaux-arts, les arts du spectacle, les académies sportives (soccer, golf, hockey sur glace, base-ball/soft-ball). Les étudiants peuvent participer à des compétitions académiques ou prendre part à nos nombreux clubs et activités de loisirs. Abbotsford dispose d'une grande variété d'équipes sportives fortes qui accueillent les étudiants internationaux. Nous sommes fiers de notre soutien inégalé aux étudiants - en plus des conseillers scolaires, nous avons 9 agents de liaison internationaux à plein temps qui parlent plusieurs langues et qui sont en communication constante avec les étudiants, les enseignants et les familles d'accueil pour s'assurer que les étudiants donnent le meilleur d'eux-mêmes.

We believe that homestay is the most important part of the international experience, so we operate our own homestay department. International students aged 12 or older can stay with a carefully selected Canadian homestay family while studying in Abbotsford. (Students younger than 12 must stay with their legal parent(s) or a direct relative such as an aunt, uncle, or grandparent.)
Host families accommodate a maximum of 2 international students at a time. Students have their own private rooms, and are always from countries that have different languages. All homestay families must speak only English. Most students can walk / bus to school in 20 minutes or less

International students at ANY Abbotsford School District High School can participate in exciting activities after school and on weekends with the Outdoor Adventures Program, organized and supervised by Abbotsford School District staff.
