Halton District School Board

 

The Halton District School Board includes the municipalities of Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton and Oakville in southern Ontario. The board has a growing population of 58,600 students our 83 elementary schools and 18 high schools offer a curriculum of academic and elective subjects. 

Math, Sciences, English, Social Studies, History and a choice of foreign languages including French, German and Spanish are standard academic courses. Elective course – Business Education which includes Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Marketing; Computer Science which includes Computer Animation, Web Design, Robotics; Drama, Art, Music, Home Economics and Technical education are offered. We have schools that also offer the IB Program (International Baccalaureate Program). Historic buildings combined with state-of-the art equipment and facilities provide excellent learning environments for students.

Halton District School board is located midway between Toronto and Niagara Falls. With the close proximity of theses cities, students can enjoy big city amenities, but live in a safe and diverse community.  Burlington and Oakville are located on a beautiful waterfront setting on Lake Ontario and Halton includes the Niagara Escarpment that runs through Milton and Burlington.   Halton region is consistently ranked as one of the safest places to line in Canada.

Entrance Dates: September entrance for full year students. September and February for semester students.

Application Deadlines: Recommended May 31 for September intake. Recommended November 30 for January/February intake.

Application Fee: $325

Full Year Tuition Fee: Elementary $13,000; Secondary $14,000

1 Semester Tuition Fee: Secondary School – $7,000.00

Annual Homestay Placement Fee: Link to Canada Homestay Network (CHN) for fees

Homestay Monthly Fee:  Approximately $1,350/month

Annual Health Insurance Fee: $450 (provided by Ingle Insurance)

Annual Custodianship Fee: Custodianship is arranged through CHN
