Das Programm kann von einem Vollzeitprogramm zur Verbesserung der Englischkenntnisse bis hin zu einem Vollzeitprogramm mit akademischen Leistungspunkten reichen, und das alles an einer öffentlichen High School im Osten Ontarios. Für jeden Schüler wird ein individueller Einstufungsplan erstellt. Alle neuen Schüler nehmen an einem Orientierungsprogramm teil, das viele Themen im Zusammenhang mit ihrem bevorstehenden Schulprogramm und dem Leben in Kanada behandelt. Alle Schüler erhalten kontinuierliche Unterstützung und Hilfe in der Schule und bekommen einen erfahrenen Gastfamilienkoordinator zugewiesen, der das Leben zu Hause überwacht. Unsere fürsorglichen und hilfsbereiten Schulmitarbeiter überwachen den akademischen Werdegang und die Fortschritte jedes einzelnen Schülers und halten sie auf Kurs, um ihre akademischen Ziele zu erreichen. Wir bieten eine Reihe von optionalen Dienstleistungen im Rahmen des Schülerhilfsprogramms an (gegen Aufpreis). Darüber hinaus haben wir 10 High Schools ausgewählt, die für diejenigen Schüler, die zusätzliche Hilfe benötigen, eine erweiterte Unterstützung in englischer Sprache anbieten. Dazu gehören ein Vollzeitlehrer für Englisch als Zweitsprache (ESL), der während des gesamten Schultages zur Verfügung steht und die Fortschritte der internationalen Schüler in allen Klassen überwacht, ein ESL-Kreditkurs pro Semester und Mitarbeiter des Systemprogramms, die mit allen Lehrern zusammenarbeiten, um Strategien zur Anpassung des Lehrplans für unsere internationalen Schüler umzusetzen.

We partner with Canada Homestay International (CHI), the largest and most experienced homestay company in Canada. Each host family is interviewed, screened, and approved by CHI staff prior to student placement. Each student has his/her own private bedroom with a suitable study area, access to the Internet and to the entire home’s facilities, including meals and transportation. The homestay families will give students from other countries an opportunity to experience Canadian culture, customs, and language, and also provide the encouragement and the support required to help their students throughout their stay. Many of them are our teachers! Students are expected to become part of the family and to participate in leisure activities. Spending money is the responsibility of the student and his/her natural parents. The family contribution will come from the heart by caring for the student as their own child and making him/her feel like a true member of the family. Our homestay coordinators provide ongoing support to our students and host families throughout their stay.
