Our International Student Program offers an exceptional educational experience to students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Students from around the world are welcomed and celebrated by staff and students. Currently we have students from 21 countries attending 22 of our schools!

Program advisors work directly in our schools to support international students in all areas of their study abroad experience – academically, socially and personally.
Saskatoon Public Schools is comprised of 49 elementary schools and eight high schools located in beautiful Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Our schools range in student population from 500 – 1680. International students learn alongside Canadian students to enhance cross-cultural learning.

Our homestay program provides international students with a safe and caring home where they can be part of a family, learn about Canadian culture, and practice their fluency in English. The program is monitored by the Saskatoon Public Schools to ensure that each host family provides an appropriate experience for the student. You are given a private bedroom and an easily accessible bathroom plus three meals a day. We expect that the host family will treat you as part of the family and include you in their activities.
Saskatoon Public Schools offer a variety of clubs, sports, and student leadership opportunities. Typical athletic options for both try-out and recreational purposes include: Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Golf, Cross Country Running, Badminton, Track & Field, Cheerleading, Pom Squad, Dance, . Students may compete to join sports teams. Clubs on offer in schools continuously change and evolve as they are student-driven. Saskatchewan is known for the many outdoor opportunities it affords its residents for fun and recreation. Our city boasts many hundreds of kilometers of trails for walking, skateboarding, scooting and cycling. The trails are groomed for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. Families in Saskatoon love to camp, fish and enjoy visiting the many lakes that surround our city and across our province. International Students are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of International program activities which may include: skating, skiing, bowling, city festival excursions, hiking, laser tag, museum visits, and attendance at a professional hockey and professional lacrosse games.
Our team will help students find activity options in the community that suit their interests and skills. Our aim is to create the most engaging and enriching study abroad experience possible.
