West Vancouver is a safe, family-oriented community of 45,000 residents in one of Canada’s most beautiful settings, just ten minutes from downtown Vancouver at the base of the North Shore mountains. Our city boasts spectacular views of the ocean, beaches and Stanley Park.
A homestay with a Canadian Family can be an enriching cultural experience and is an important component of our program. Canadian families share their homes with students and students participate in the everyday activities of their host family. This is an excellent opportunity for students to improve their English and to establish many close friendships.
West Vancouver Schools has many fine homes and families interested in hosting our International Students. The way to make the most of your Canadian living experience is to come with an open mind. Come prepared to participate in family life and share in the responsibilities of being a family member. The homestay experience you will have will largely depend on you and your attitude and your friendliness.
West Vancouver is an unparalleled place to live! With one of the best climates in all of Canada and bordered by the Pacific Ocean, we are lined with beaches and have ski hills in our backyard.
Students can explore the community on their own with summer and winter activities such as swimming, sailing, cycling, snowboarding and skiing. We also provide guided tours throughout the school year to some of the best Canada has to offer.
In addition to academic courses, schools offer much in the way of extracurricular clubs for all tastes such art, drama, sports, and technology.
