Chinook’s Edge stretches across the prairies and small towns of Central Alberta, framed within an hour’s drive by the world-famous Rocky Mountains. All of this is within one hour of Red Deer (to the north) and Calgary (to the south), which feature all the amenities and attractions that a major international city has to offer.
We partnered with Canada Homestay Network to connect international students with carefully selected host families. Living with an English-speaking family, we offer students the opportunity to strengthen their language skills and build meaningful relationships within the community. Homestay options include small-town, rural, lakeside, and farmstay experiences, allowing students to experience the unique lifestyle of Central Alberta.
The Rocky Mountains provide an abundance of opportunities to hike and enjoy the outdoors. Our high schools include activities such as canoeing, hiking, and camping to expand learning in Central Alberta. Students are able to pursue music, dance, arts and drama alongside their core academic learning.
