Our teachers are highly educated, government-certified, professional, and dedicated. Most have several university degrees. Students attending Saskatoon Catholic high schools take courses in English language, history, physical education, wellness, mathematics, science, and social studies. In addition, students may also take courses in biology, chemistry or physics, and choose from electives such as graphic arts, digital production, music, art, drama or robotics. There is also a program of studies for students whose first language is French, or for those who wish to enter French immersion as an elementary school student.
We have certified EAL (English as an Additional Language) teachers and offer EAL courses to all of our students. Many of our students have very little English when they first arrive here. International students benefit from full integration into classes where English is the language of instruction. International students also take part in small independent EAL classes that focus on their specific language needs. These classes are credit courses which makes it easier to graduate sooner.

The Greater Saskatoon Catholic School District has four spectacular High Schools ideally located throughout the city. Saskatoon is the largest city in Saskatchewan and is continuously referred to as one of the best cities in Canada in which to live, specifically noted for its scenic natural beauty as the South Saskatchewan River winds its way through the heart of the city. It maintains a young, safe, and clean reputation. Many of these attributes are due to the fact that it is a university city with a young, vibrant, and entrepreneurial demographic. Saskatoon is located in central Saskatchewan on the South Saskatchewan River. The climate is mild and all four seasons are present throughout the year. The winters are cold and the summers are warm providing both guests and residents with opportunities to experience a taste of each season. Saskatoon has roughly a quarter million people currently residing within its city limits. It is an ideal place for a student that wants to experience the feel of a city while still maintaining a close-knit, community oriented feel.
Our homestay program provides international students with a safe and caring home where they can be part of a family, learn about Canadian culture, and practice their fluency in English. The program is monitored by the Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools to ensure that each host family provides an appropriate experience for the student. You are given a private bedroom and easily accessible bathroom plus three meals a day. We expect that the host family will treat you as part of the family and include you in their activities.
We offer a full range of extracurricular activities and clubs at no extra cost.
