As of September 2027, we are excited to be opening the doors to Yuill School of Agriculture. Here is the link to the school website: https://yuillschoolofagriculture.ca/. Please see how we will be offering 12 different programs for certification in crop production, livestock management, animal science, horticulture, beekeeping, egg production, food science, environmental science, agribusiness, heavy equipment, ag technology, and agritourism.

The South Alberta School of Agriculture (SASA) combines classroom instruction with immersive, real-world experience, systems-based problem-solving, and mentorship from industry subject-matter experts.

The program offers students the following key opportunities:

Comprehensive Programs of Study: Coursework spanning crop production and soil health, livestock management, horticulture and greenhouse operations, beekeeping, egg-laying hen production, and environmental science.
Industry-Recognized Credentials:
- Alberta Green Certificate Program: Earn up to 30 high school credits and Level 1 technician credentials in fields such as Cow/Calf, Field Crop, Sheep/Goat, Swine, Horticulture/Greenhouse, Beekeeping, and Egg-Laying Hen operations.
- Heavy Duty Equipment Operator Certification: Hands-on training and seat time operating skid steers, backhoes, graders, forklifts, and payloaders, paired with industry-standard Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and preventative maintenance training.
Cutting-Edge Ag-Tech Experience: Practical application of advanced agricultural technologies, including drones for aerial mapping and livestock tracking, GPS-guided precision farming tools, robotics for automated farm tasks, soil/hydroponic sensors, and data analytics.

Prairie Rose encompasses a large geographical area (approximately 29,117 sq. kilometers) in southeastern Alberta. It borders Saskatchewan to the East and the United States to the South.
