Our partners at MLI Homestay understand that a caring homestay is the cornerstone of ensuring a positive student experience in Canada. Students looking for homestay will have an excellent opportunity to practice and develop their English language skills and have a rich experience of Canadian culture and family life. Students can also choose a French speaking homestay family if they have a strong interest in learning the French language and Quebec culture. MLI homestay carefully screens its families in advance of student placement. Students will meet with a coordinator to express their needs and interests during their stay in Canada in which our Homestay will suggest families who can meet their needs. This rigorous screening process is done to ensure the safety of all our students and to provide them with a comfortable living environment while away from their home country. Homestay families may include homes with a single parent, couples, single parent with a child, families with children, and retired couples.

Advanced/Enriched Programs (English, Mathematics, French, Science)

Our Advanced/Enriched Program provides an opportunity for advanced students to be immersed in a more challenging curriculum and designed to meet their particular talents. This accelerated learning program is an enrichment of the regular curriculum. It has a limited enrollment and applies only to students with a minimum mark and teacher recommendation for admission. Students can be enriched in several subjects such as English, French, Math, and Science.

Concentration Programs (Sports, Arts, Music, Theatre)

To promote a healthy lifestyle, our secondary schools offer several concentration programs which are designed to emphasize academic standards as well as excellence within the student’s chosen program. These programs benefit students to have more time within the regular school day to develop their skills and abilities in their concentration of choice. In the sports concentration program, students can choose their sport of choice (soccer, football, or hockey).

Other activities our schools provide

We also offer a variety of educational, cultural, and recreational activities throughout the school year. This includes community breakfasts, a robotics team, science fairs, career fairs, literary journals, dances, theme days, game rooms, web site development, woodworking, gamer club, Terry Fox runs, breast cancer runs, artistic events, field days, winter carnivals, and many more. Students also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of clubs and activities that they are interested in. Every year we organize an activity for all our international students where they can get together and experience the Quebec culture.
