Niagara Catholic District School Board

Located in the beautiful region of Niagara Falls, Ontario, the Niagara Catholic District School Board is a leader in the delivery of Canadian and international education to primary, secondary and adult students alike. With 48 elementary schools, 8 high schools and 4 adult education centres, Niagara Catholic is proud to offer a variety of programs and services to our international students from across the Globe. Programs include the following:

  • One or two semesters in High School or Elementary School
  • Graduation with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)

The Niagara Region is a beautiful area with 12 dynamic cities, including Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and Welland. With a population of over 450,000, our Region is located in South-eastern Ontario, only 1 hour from Toronto and just across the Niagara River from New York State, USA

All students live with a local Canadian family in a comfortable and safe environment. Students receive 3-meals a day, 7 days a week. Caring families carefully selected through screening, interviews and background checks. Continuous support from full time Homestay Coordinator

Our Niagara Catholic schools offer many opportunities for our international students to get involved with our local students and communities, both during and after school. For those interested in the arts, there are many school-based clubs where you can practice and showcase your musical talents, learn an instrument, try out for a play or be involved with costume and set design, audio visual creation and much more. We are also big on sports, whether you like to play or watch field or ice hockey, football, soccer, basketball, cross-country running, there is always a place for you. In the winter months, make sure to join our ski/snowboard clubs who meet once a week on the mountains. Get Involved!
