Horizon School Division is a jurisdiction located in southern Alberta. It is made up of several communities: Taber, Vauxhall, Lomond, Milk River and Warner. Each community has a high school willing to take international students. We are in close proximity to the United States, the Rocky Mountains and many UNESCO World Heritage sites. Recreational opportunities abound in our ‘Big Sky’ country.
Horizon School Division believes in student voice, parent and community engagement. Our International team works with agents, parents and schools to diligently place students with families who are accommodating to student needs. We have students and families complete match sheets to ensure the correct and best placement is made. We believe that the homestay family plays a critical role in the cultural experience of our International Students. homestay families are ambassadors for our community and program.
